Asphalt Flex Coal Tar for Road and Pavements
Asphalt Flex Coal Tar is a two component special polyurethane coating to develop a thick, strong as well as flexible layer by pouring on asphalt surfaces.
Helpful for parking areas like cars, trucks, airplanes in airports.
Fuel and chemical resistant
Unmatched sealing ability with high durability in harsh conditions.
Available with a self-leveling property to produce limitless thickness layer. It can absorb mechanical noise and has excellent erosion durability. It also ensures the sealing of the cracks, spreading slits by pouring the product straightly into them.
With special molecular structure, it forms a flexible & a strong layer that prevent cracking for along a period!

Required quantity per sqm. : 100% solids amount of liters requires are the amount for casting. For example: 3 mm coat – 3 liter per sqm.

Pot life: (Work time after ‘A’ + ‘B’ mixture): 60 minutes at 20°C
Minimal dry time before use: at least 24 hours.
Final hard dry time: 48 hours.
Erosion resistance: 4500 cycle (grinder) ATSM, roll CS-17, 1kg load, 1000 cycles, Lose of 40miligrams, according to ASTM 4060 standard.
Density:(part ‘A’ grey color) – 1.3gm\cm³ (DIN 51575. 1.3 – RAL7032 (part ‘B’ clear) – 1.2 gm\cm³
‘A’:’B’ mixture 18.5kg : 5.2kg = 23.7kg. by weight or 3:1 by volume
Special Polyurethane resin mixtures.
Grey, Black, Green and other according to RAL catalogue.
2-4 hours at 25°C for a 500 micron layer. Thick layer: 30 -60 minutes.
Wait time period between layer applications:
No solvent so that an average amount of air is necessary.
Pour \ spread or spray with airless for thin coating.
No thinning needed
Aluminum: apply a layer of Epoxyden Stronzium chromate
Asphalt: clean methodically with high water pressure to get a totally clean surface.
Concrete: apply on completely clean surfaces. Spread epoxyden floor primers
Steel: apply a layer of Epoxyden 19.
Ensure that the base layer is dry and clean
Open carefully ‘A’ +’B’ sections of the Asphalt flex
Pour in 3:1 ratio
Stir the mixture well using a slow mixer and instantly pour on the surface
Use a large wiper to spread the mixture evenly on the whole surface.
For large surfaces, use a handy cement mixer to make over 200 liters at one time
Store in a shaded place between 15°C-32°C temperature with proper ventilation.
Keep lids tightly closed.
Use D-11 thinner instantly after applying.
The coating changes color, while exposed to the sun
Clean using mild cleaning materials.
Don’t scratch or pull heavy and sharp objects

Do not smoke near it or in working area
Good air ventilation should be there while applying. If there is not enough air, use ventilation as per the ventilation table.

While applying without air, never throw it on anybody as a direct hit can be fatal at pressures of more than 150 atm.

Store at 15°C to 25°C temperature
Over Spray: Dust is created by dry gases of the air that causes the paint particles to fall on the surface. The impact becomes stronger owing to over pressure and heat. To evade the negative effect, the pressure of the spraying must be lowered to the essential minimum. A different possibility is to augment the amount of the thinner that cause the paint particles to fall wetter on the surface.
An additional suggested possibility is to add a retarder to enhance the time of painting application, hence increases the drying up time, and enabling it to reach the surface wetter
Pot Life: The working time that is possible to paint a mixture of two components, without spoiling the properties of the paint or disqualifying the paint.
Spray: A sprayer with a container to hold paint can be used to spray with air pressure.
Airless: a device having a piston to compresses the air for spraying paints.
Surface preparations: the level of cleanness is judged by international standards. This process comprises cleansing sand blasting to attain optimal results for painting adhesion. These standards are evenly compared to the Swiss SA, the German-Din the U.S SSPC SP standards. For each standard, there are indicators to make visual contrast between the surface cleansing and the indicator.
Prior to large surfaces’ painting, it is essential to test the product on a small area to ensure that the paint is attuned with the level of satisfactory.
